Billing terms: prepaid credit, pay-as-you-go and Enterprise
The billing terms that apply when accounts open set three ways to pay: prepaid credit, pay-as-you-go and Enterprise. Pay-as-you-go is charged at month end and each time accrued spend passes the spend threshold, which starts at $100 and rises automatically.
Every way to pay covers on-demand, spot and reserved capacity. The spend threshold is reviewed at the end of each calendar month, and a new threshold applies from the next month.

Prepaid credit
Teams that want a fixed budget
How it works
- Load credit and use it down.
- Nothing is charged later.
- Credit does not expire.
Limits
- No spend threshold and no instance quota.
- Usage is limited by your credit balance and by available capacity.
- The minimum top-up is $10.

Pay-as-you-go
Teams whose usage changes from month to month
How it works
- A default payment method is kept on file.
- It is charged at the end of each calendar month, and each time accrued spend passes the spend threshold.
- A receipt lists the month's spend and the intermediate charges.
Limits
- The spend threshold starts at $100 and rises automatically with usage and successful payments.
- A pay-as-you-go account starts at one instance. A $25 prepayment raises the quota to eight or more.
